Memorial Donations

What Are Memorial Donations?

They are book or non-print items that are purchased by the library through donations you provide to honour a special person.

A bookplate will be placed in each item, giving the name of the person in whose honour or memory the book is given and the name of the donor or donors.

Why a Donation?

A relatively small sum of money will provide an enduring tribute that will bring pleasure to many. Your gift is tax deductible. Your gift is an invaluable way of supplementing and enchancing the library's collection.

How Do I Arrange For A Memorial Donation?

Simply mail or drop off your memorial gift to the library. Complete the brief form (which may be downloaded below or picked up at the library). We will mail a card to the family or individual notifying them of your thoughtfullness.

Unless you request otherwise, the amount of your gift will not be mentioned. You will then recieve a thank you card with a receipt suitable for tax deduction purposes. When the new items arrive, a bookplate will be placed in the front of the item. You may specify a subject area or an author if you wish.
